Christmas Lane

Last night we went somewhere I don't want to forget. It was such a cute place!!! Along for the ride were Papa and Grandma, Daddy, me and Parker Pants. He had such a good time running around this place. It's called Christmas Lane. These people in Dover, FL turn their property into a tiny little Christmas world! There was a Santa, and it was set up like a little town. There was a cool sleigh to sit in and take pictures, and I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out! It was a wonderful night of family, Christmas, and making memories. Here are some pictures from our night!

This is officially my most favorite picture ever of them! They are making the same exact face!

Just a few pictures from the past few weeks!

Is it already November?

I can't believe how horrible I am at this blogging thing. I always say I'll be back, and I never come back! Not for 5 months anyways. SO many things to blog about, and I'm really really REALLY going to try to be better this time. It's so much easier now that I have my own computer.

God's plans are incredible to me. Confusing, sometimes :), but definitely incredible. This year, he's been teaching me so much. Through his word, through examples in the people I live with, through my husband, through my little 16 month old son. It's amazing what he uses to teach us his all important lessons.

The biggest lesson? I'm finally learning to be more content in my circumstances, to not let the little things get to me. To express my feelings in a, well, let's say a less emotional way. I definitely still have my moments, but I'm growing each day, which is how it should be! I want to live a content, joyful life. No matter where I am or what I'm doing. That's my goal.

Some other things going on? Brandon is getting closer and closer to finishing his Associates degree, that means 2+ years left of school, but Associates means halfway, and we're stopping to celebrate that first. God has blessed us that we can so easily obtain an education. I'm also starting school in January. I'll be going part time, and probably will be part time forever, so approximately, 10 years? Until I get my Bachelor's Degree. :) For now, the plan is an Education major, but that could change easily. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for a real decision in that department yet.

Parker is wonderful, he's the light of our life, he's the star of the show. He had a great Halloween as a lion, and got to trick or treat at his great grandma's house! He's chatting up a storm, daily used words are, mama, dada, papa, baba, wawa, car, ball, and nana. He keeps us on our toes. He's almost 17 months old, and he's no longer my little baby. He's definitely a toddler. Which is giving me the slightest inkling of baby fever. Oops. That's not in the plan yet, I hope! :)

In April 2011, we'll be heading back to Idaho, which some days, can't come quicker. Some other days, I have mixed feelings. We're loving being close to Brandon's parents. They're such a wonderful example to us, and to Parker. But we do miss my family, and it's hard that everyone can't be together. When we move back Brandon will be applying for new jobs, in law enforcement and security. Please keep this in your prayers, we are so ready for a change of pace for him, and something that can become a permanent career for him. That's really it for now. Be back with pictures soon!!

A New Start

Hello blogging world. I've missed you! I sure haven't kept up, on anything lately. Except maybe the housework, well, if I'm lucky. Things have been C-R-A-Z-Y around here. We have been here in Florida for a month, and I'm missing my family like you couldn't understand. I know it'll get easier over time, and I do have things to look forward to! My aunt and cousin coming to visit in a few short weeks, my mom in October, and my dad and Becky in December. Those are days I'm looking forward to.
Parker is the funniest little boy, he keeps us truly busy. Yesterday he had his 12 month shots, 6 of them actually, it was a rotten day, but we made it through! He's usually a very happy little boy. He's a perfected walker, and working on running now! Using sippy cups with straws, and does NOT like baby food anymore!

Brandon has started his new job, with his old company, Allied Barton. He's doing the same security work, just not at a mall. Right now there's no permanent position for him, but they're giving him whatever work they come across, which so far has been about 35 hours a week.

We're loving it here with his family, they're very encouraging, so it's been a good time! I'm missing home though, nobody hugs like your parents. :) I've been keeping busy with housework, and cooking and watching tv, well, when I'm not taking care of Parker Pants :) I'm probably not going to work here, at least not much. Just some massages on the side when we need it.

Anyway, there's a mini update, and here are some pictures :) Have a great day! I'll be back soon!
